Supervision
Supervision in clinical practice is essential for effective therapeutic engagement with clients. Counsellors, play therapists, and other creative arts therapists are mandated to undergo regular clinical supervision to uphold professional standards and ensure client welfare. Clinical supervisors bear the responsibility of fostering supervisees' competence and safeguarding clients from potential harm or substandard practice. I undergo clinical supervision every 3 weeks in-line with the requirements set out by PTUK.
Membership/ICO/Insurance
I am a fully registered clinician on the PSA Register for PTUK. I am registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) for data protection. I have full professional liability insurance, a fully enhanced DBS clearance and I adhere to PTUK's Ethical Systems, and work with full clinical supervision.
Consent
Written parental consent will be required before sessions commence as well as a parental/carer initial meeting. Parents/carers and clients will also need to consent to sessions being recorded for safeguarding purposes.
Policies
I have the necessary risk assessments and policies in place (including use of the therapy garden). These can be given on request.
