Services
I provide individual Play Therapy for children aged 3 to 12 years, aimed at addressing concerning behaviours that impact daily life. I also offer group play therapy within schools.
Play therapy is highly recommended for children because play is their primary mode of:

-
Learning about the world
-
Understanding how things work
-
Expressing thoughts and feelings
-
Developing physical skills
-
Enhancing cognitive abilities
-
Building effective social skills and bonds

The minimum number of sessions for individual play therapy is 12, which is considered short-term. This may be effective for some children, in more complex cases, children may need support for over a year. Group play therapy sessions within school are carried out over a 6 week period, once a week. Individual play therapy sessions are for 40 minutes each and group play therapy session are up to an hour. Please contact me directly for costings.

Parents
The best person to help a child is usually their parents/carers. Therapy for a child is often more successful when the whole family is on board. I always work closely with parents providing consultations, feedback, reports, and when appropriate, carrying out therapeutic sessions with the child and parent/s together. I work with no judgement, and fully understand how challenging it can be to support a child who is struggling or has experienced trauma.
Schools/Professionals
I offer my play therapy services to schools on a half-day or full-day basis. Half a day includes 3 clients and a full day includes 5 clients or 4 clients and one group. A private room will be needed each week which will not be disturbed whilst clients are in session.
I also offer staff training and consultations with teachers, SENDCos, and pastoral staff which cover a wide range of topics surrounding children's mental health and special educational needs.
An example of a school contract and costs can be provided upon request.
